Sundance/Slamdance Event: More Dollars On the Screen Panel
January 19, 2012
We are SO excited to be part of this great event!
Please join Post FactoryNY, the exclusive post-production sponsor of the New York State Lounge, on Tuesday, January 24th at 11 AM, at 545 Main Street, for “More Dollars on the Screen: Digital Tools for Independent Filmmakers,” an insightful panel talk led by Ira Sachs – an award winning Sundance alumnus, whose film Keep The Lights On is having its World Premiere at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.
Joining Ira, panelists will include; Karin Hayes, co-director of the searing expose of corporate America, We’re Not Broke, a Sundance Film Festival 2012 Documentary Competition World Premiere; Paul Rachman, 2006 Sundance Alumnus, Director (American Hardcore), and Slamdance Co-Founder; Peter Postma of Filmlight, the industry leader in post-production color technology; Gunther Noeser of ARRI, creators of the groundbreaking digital ALEXA camera; Alex Halpern, filmmaker and Post FactoryNY’s founder; and Post FactoryNY’s head color artist, Mishel Hassidim (Union Square, We’re Not Broke).
As artists and service providers, we believe that all filmmakers can and should have access to new technologies and state-of-the-art tools as they bring their stories to life.
This discussion will begin a real world dialogue of how to navigate the ever-evolving digital landscape, while getting the most out of your production budget, from pre-production to screen.
Bagels, M&Ms and hot chocolate included.
We hope to see you there!
