Rebecca Skinner

Head of School

ISB Co-founder Rebecca Skinner oversees school operations, manages the newly expanded fundraising/marketing department, co-manages the admissions process as well as develops the plans for the creation of ISB’s middle school (for 2012-2013).  Rebecca holds a MA in French Cultural Studies from NYU and has worked in the non-profit, educational world for the past 13 years.

Delphine Michaud

Lower School Director

As the Lower School Director, Delphine Michaud manages the daily life of the lower school, overseeing faculty professional development, student life and progress, curriculum implementation, tends to parent questions and meetings and co-manages the admissions process. Delphine joined ISB in 2007 as an admissions consultant and took on the role of Director of Admissions in 2009. Delphine holds a Masters in Education from Bank Street College. She spent twelve years as a elementary school classroom teacher. Prior to coming to ISB, she was the Assistant Director of the lower school at Trevor Day School here in New York.

Muriel Stallworth

PYP Coordinator/French Language Coordinator

Muriel Stallworth has been involved with ISB since its inception, first as a member of the Board of Directors and for the past three years as the Educational Director. In 2010, Muriel will returned to the classroom part time as the French 4th Grade teacher. She will has part time roles as PYP Coordinator and French Language Coordinator. Muriel received her Teaching Certification from École Normale de Saint Étienne in 1988.

Meredith Karnis

Enrichment Programs Coordinator

Meredith Karnis began working with ISB in 2008 as a Summer Camp teacher, and continued as administrative support and after school coordinator. For the 2010-2011 school year Meredith will run the Enrichment Programs. Meredith holds a Bachelors degree from SUNY New Paltz. Before coming to ISB, Meredith spent a year teaching English to high school students in France.

Isaiah Benedek

Development and Admissions Assistant

Isaiah Benedek joined ISB in 2009 as an Administrative Assistant and took on the role of Development and Admissions Assistant for the 2010-2011 school year. Isaiah has a Bachelors degree from the University of Vermont.

Alan Sze

Bookkeeper

Alan Sze joined ISB in 2010. Alan has nine years of experience in accounts administration. Most recently, Alan worked as the business manager at The Center for Family and Youth in Albany, NY. Alan holds a Bachelors degree in Mathematics from SUNY Albany.
